Advising Fiscal Court
The County Attorney attends all County Fiscal Court meetings and advises the County Judge/Executive and the Fiscal Court. It is the duty of the County Attorney to give legal advice to the Fiscal Court and the several county officers in all matters concerning any county business within their jurisdiction. The County Attorney performs many legal functions in carrying out these duties, including drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents in which the county is a party, and drafting county ordinances and resolutions.
